Todays CPA must have familiarity with a number of areas of business law to properly advise clients and to protect their own interests. One area of importance is Employment Issues and the Law. This course covers the major federal Employment Issues and the Laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It also discusses the taxation of fringe benefits and federal employment taxation.
