Course Description
When you heard about the restaurateur suing the customer who left a negative comment on YELP, who were you rooting for - the businessman or the customer? It's a complicated world we live in because we are both service providers and consumers. Yet we have all faced the dilemma to either confront or ignore. Clear the air or rise above it all. All with the possibility of that decision making the situation worse. Accountants have the unique responsibility of taking care of their own reputations, as well as the reputation of the firm or company that they work for or own. CPAs are also presented with an opportunity to assist their clients. In this course, reputation will be examined under three lenses: traditional, social media, and big data. Methods to build and measure reputation are later explored, including utilizing the business-savy social network, LinkedIn.
